Frequently asked questions about event tracking in SalesViewer®

What exactly does “Form Submitted” mean in SalesViewer®?

This event is triggered when a visitor successfully fills out and submits a form on your website. This can be a contact form, a newsletter signup form, or an order form. In special cases, a website search can be a form if it is programmed as a “form”.

Can I define what I want to track as an event myself?

With the “custom events” feature, SalesViewer® allows you to set up your own events using a custom code snippet on your website. These events enable tracking of specific interactions and actions by visitors that go beyond the standard tracking options and allow you to give them a custom designation. Once set up, these custom events are recorded in SalesViewer® and can be specifically analyzed and evaluated using the filter function.
